Italy Stands with Ukraine, Assures Italian President During Ukrainian Leader Rome Visit

• Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Rome for meetings with Pope Francis, Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni.
• Italy provided military and other aid to Ukraine in its mission to liberate itself from Russia's invasion.
• Antonio Tajani, the Italian Foreign Minister, pledged Italy's support for Ukraine “360 degrees”.
• The Italian premier is staunchly backing military and financial aid for Ukraine while her allies admire Putin and question economic sanctions against Russia.
• During his visit in Rome, Zelenskyy received assurances from Italian leaders of continued military and financial aid as well as humanitarian assistance.
• Germany has also provided Ukraine with additional military aid worth more than 2.7 billion euros ($3 billion).
